Shelter Island Yachts Names United Yacht Sales Official Dealer

United Yacht Sales, the world’s largest yacht brokerage firm with more than 250 yacht brokers, have been named an official dealer of Shelter Island Yachts. UYS broker Mordy Miltz will be the brand representative and manage the relationship with the builder for the company.

United Yacht Sales will represent the Florida market as its territory for the builder.

Shelter Island Yachts, designed and built right here in the U.S. by CH Marine, are hand-crafted, custom-built downeast boats which range in size from 30 to 38-feet. “We use only the finest materials; Kevlar hulls, custom stainless steel deck fittings and hand selected teak,” says the shipyard. “The hardware, system components and machinery we use have all been selected for quality and longevity. If it costs a little more, than so be it; we do not compromise.”

The Shelter Island 38 is offered in 3 versions:

1. 38 Runabout – Traditional downeast runabout with v-hull and diesel inboard engines.
2. 38 Runabout With Outboards – Can be powered with up to twin Mercury 450HP’s.
3. 38 Runabout FS – Same hull as the other 38’s but offers more seating, choice of inboard/outboard power

ABOUT MORDY MILTZ:

Mordechai “Mordy” Miltz entered the maritime industry in 2004 at the age of 19 when he owned and operated a fishing supply company in the Northeast. During this time, Mordy actively pursued continuing education by gaining his Merchant Mariner Credential, among other maritime certifications. This entrepreneurial mindset provided strategic opportunity for Mordy to enter in the yacht brokerage industry. In less than two years, Mordy opened his first office in Long Island, NY, and another in South Florida shortly thereafter. Mordy has connected with top leaders in communities all over the eastern seaboard, and most recently in the west coast. He is a confident and tactical negotiator and has been afforded opportunities globally.

Mordy is an avid fisherman, with sponsorships and awards in top tournaments such as the Mid-Atlantic 500, White Marlin Open, and Blue Water Movements. He regularly sails and races on a Farr 40, and also enjoys a few rounds of sporting clays.
